April is the main month of the monetary year. India, the world's second greatest wheat maker, sent out a record 7 million tons of the grain in monetary 2021-22.

It traded only 242,857 tons of wheat in April 2021.

With the new season crop assembled in April, wheat shipments could rise further this month.
