Rupert Murdoch's News Corp to cut jobs in UK newspaper, radio biz: Report

Rupert Murdoch's News Corp should eliminate positions in its British paper and radio activities as a major aspect of a business survey planned for diminishing costs, News UK Chief Executive Rebekah Brooks said in a letter to staff on Wednesday.
"In the coming months, we should smooth out the business and take some extreme choices, bidding farewell to some esteemed and skilled associates," Brooks said in the letter seen by Reuters.
The letter didn't specify the scale or number of occupation misfortunes that could happen after the progression.
The audit has been activated by the effect of the coronavirus episode and its subsequent lockdown, as per a News UK representative.

"To make sure about the eventual fate of our brands, in the coming months we should smooth out the business and take some extreme choices," the representative told Reuters in a messaged proclamation.
