Japan PM Yoshihide Suga tells South Korea it's time to fix strained ties

 

Japan's new Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Thursday held his first call with his South Korean partner since getting down to business, disclosing to President Moon Jae-in that the neighbors should attempt to determine their stressed relations.

The discussions, proposed by South Korea, were the first contact in quite a while between pioneers of the two nations.
